A Weekend in Cardiff

Wednesday, 7 October 2015

This coming Sunday (11th) is my two year anniversary with my boyfriend and, as I am away then, I went and visited him at Uni last weekend.
Also with the Rugby World Cup on at the moment it meant that Cardiff and the train station were so busy! But I didn't mind as I was part of the crowd for the rugby with tickets for New Zealand vs Georgia!

My Trip to Dismaland

Thursday, 10 September 2015

Last night I ventured down the road from where I live to visit Banky's Dismaland. I have to say it was a weird experience. You enter into a fake security system where the staff are totally serious about no smiling, and stop random people before letting everyone through into the rest of the exhibition.

April Favourites! | 2015

Sunday, 10 May 2015

Hi there!

So this month has been VERY busy for me (hence the lack of posts, sorry!) I went skiing at the beginning of the month, my brother left to travel Asia, I've been hit with revision stress because exams start soon! AND I had my 18th birthday at the end of the month, so it's been fun!

Maybe I Ate Too Much Cake...

Wednesday, 30 April 2014

Okay, so a few weeks ago I did a post about what was on my birthday wishlist, and now my birthday has been and gone I thought I would show you lovelies what I got!

DVDs

These have to be my favourite movies at the moment, especially Frozen! I definitely turn into a big kid whenever I hear "Do you wanna build a snowman?"

Real Techniques Core Collection

Yes, I have finally joined the band wagon and got these amazing brushes. And I am so glad I did! They are sooooooooo good!

Deaf Havana Vinyl

This is one of my favourite bands at the moment and I am so excited to see them at Reading Festival this year!

World Map

As mentioned in my initial wishlist post, I asked for a world map so that I could plan where I wanted to travel on my gap year and now here it is pride of place on my wall.

Tickets to see Fame!

My boyfriend is officially the best! He is taking me to see Fame! at the Bristol Hippodrome! He is actually going to sit through a musical for me! I feel so lucky...

Perfume

His Mum also got me a top up of my favourite person from Nina Ricci...

Scarf

And his Dad and his Dad's girlfriend got me this beautiful scarf from Fat Face!

Meanwhile, my own parents got me the other things above along with some money for driving lessons which I can start as soon as I sort out my provisional licence!
My day was so lovely (except the mock exam I had to take) and so full of food!! Me, my boyfriend and my family went to a restaurant in Cotham called The Burger Joint and their food looks like this:

Definitely an A++ for lushness of food!!

That's all for now!

The End Of An Era

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

Hi there!

This is a bit of a sad time for me at the moment. An injury which I acquired around six years ago has gotten much worse; as a result of this I have had to quit my main passion in life: Dance

I have been dancing since I was two years old (I'm seventeen at the end of April), so you can see why this is quite a major thing for me, seeing as it has been something that I've devoted practically my whole life to.

It's something that has been coming for a long while but it's still terribly upsetting to have to let something you love go and I am going to miss it so so much.

But what am I going to take away from all this?

Some absolutely amazing life experiences...

In aid of the charity Barnardo's I have danced at both Wembley Arena and The Royal Albert Hall, which will definitely be something I will always remember!

Great Friends...

Organisation...

With all the different shows and costumes and make up and class timetables and dates I had to remember how could I not become organised?

And Talent...

So this may sound a little big headed...but I am so proud of myself at how much I have improved in the last few years and all my achievements! And now I have a talent that not everybody can do!

It's taken me a while to write this post as I feel like publishing this is really the end for me, which may be why it's come at a weird time. But, saying that I guess we've all got to move on from our childhood eventually just mine came a little sooner than I expected...

Anyway, I want to if any of you lovely people reading this have loved and lost something as I have?

My Birthday Wishlist!!

Friday, 11 April 2014

Hello hello hello!

In two weeks will be my 17th birthday! So I thought I'd do a quick little post about what I have put on my wish list.

1. Driving Lessons!!

Finally, I have reached the age when I can learn to drive and buy a car and be able to get myself to places without having to rely on other people or public transport! (although I do love getting the train!)

Dream car!

2. New Balance 574 in Grey and Purple

I love these shoes as the colours go with pretty much any outfit as well as being very comfortable to wear at sixth form, so they'll get worn a lot!

3. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire DVD

This movie was probably the best sequel I have ever watched! (well except Harry Potter...but that's coming from a hardcore Potterhead) and I cannot wait for both parts of Mockingjay. There has only been four books I've cried at and Mockingjay was one of them.

     4. An Earring Holder/Earring

It's been something I've been meaning to get for a while as at the moment I only have a pot for my earrings, which makes it difficult to find a matching pair. I also need new earrings as the ones I have are boring me at the moment!
I'm thinking something similar to this...

5. Deaf Havana "Old Souls" Vinyl

Hey, some people may call me an indie-wannabe but I love the sound of vinyls compared to CDs and Deaf Havana is a band that I've recently got into AND I get to see them live at Reading Festival!!

6. Frozen DVD

Yes I admit it, I do want to build a snowman! I initially didn't see this film and watched it at a friend's request - I LOVED IT! If you haven't seen it, do!

7. A World Map

A bit of a weird one some people might think but after I finish sixth form I'm planning on taking a gap year and stereotypically travelling as much as possible so I can work out what I want to do with my life! Hopefully a map will help me plan where I want to go!

8. Real Techniques Core Collection

I'm not going to pretend that I am pro at make up or anything but I would just really like some great brushes to work with! All of the reviews from the hundreds of beauty bloggers has made me want them so bad!

I am so excited for this birthday for some reason! Leave a comment below with what's on your wish lists at the moment!

February Favourites!

Sunday, 2 March 2014

Hi there!

Long time no speak but I've been busy with life! So by now it's January Blues season when people who made a resolutions to eat healthier and go to the gym realise that they haven't and those who vowed to drink less realise that they had a whole bottle of wine to themselves last Friday night! (Obviously, not me as I am under age!)

Anyway I thought I'd share what has made my February just that little bit brighter!

To start, I have had an absolute obsession with Vaseline since I got a set for Christmas. I normally don't do anything about my dry lips when I get them but recently I've just  got so into taking care of them!

Another product which I have been loving recently is my Simple moisturiser. With the cold weather worsening my skin can get incredibly dry so this amazing product has being keeping my skin nice and hydrated.

For Christmas I got this gorgeous Nina Ricci perfume and it is just such a lush smell to brighten my day!

Now, I may not have made a resolution to eat healthier as that seemed too official for me, but I have been eating more fruit and salady things! And my most loved fruit this month is Kiwis! They are so easy to pack into my school bag when I don't have time for breakfast, that, and I have these special Kiwi spoons which I think are awesome!

The things that have made me the most happiest in this last month is Ikea and Argos! And the reason for this is because I have been re-decorating my new room! These websites have been so helpful with fairly cheap furniture and storage systems it has been so much fun and I'm not quite done just yet!

Sorry the photo wouldn't rotate!
My best find was this cutlery organiser which I have used to store all of my extra stationary. I also found this adorable metal pot which I store my make-up brushes in.

Leading on from my last point, this month I have been loving anything cute, blue, green or white or all three! Oh the perils of re-decorating!

I've used this old GU pudding jar to hold my candles and just added some skinny plaid ribbon around the top to give it a cutesy feel.

I found this fabric on eBay and I thought they were really interesting patterns and colours to come together so I thought of making some bunting and scrunchies with it!

What have been your favourite things this month? Leave a comment below!

MY HOGWARTS LETTER FINALLY CAME!

Monday, 9 December 2013

Hi there!

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the all-cap-excited title! I have a particular love for the Harry Potter series and this has to have been pretty much the best present I have ever been given!

So me and my mum drove up to the studios for about lunchtime and we went from there! I suppose this will just be a bit of a picture diary from the day!

The Great Hall was all decked out for Christmas!

OOTD: Coat - New Look, T Shirt - ASOS, Skirt - H&M

Hermione's Yule Ball dress
                               Luna Lovegood's costumes

Butterbeer tastes like melted ice cream

You could push a button and this little guy would pop up, wiggle his bum a bit and then go away again!

I thought this paper model of Hogsmeade was so beautiful...

Simply breathtaking

So there are a few of the many many pictures that I took that day! This trip was so conveniently planned as I went to visit the company that produced this film - Heyday Films - last Monday (2nd December). They were so incredibly welcoming and helpful and I would say that if you ever want to meet a company and you find their contact details, just do it. I had Heyday's number for eight weeks before I plucked up the courage to phone them!

That's it from me for now!
