Music Monday #8

Monday 23 November 2015

Hi there!
After going to see Imagine Dragons live the other week I've really been getting back into my music and their new album so I thought I'd do another one of these posts. Let me know in the comments any suggestions you have!

1) Roots by Imagine Dragons

This is my favourite song off of their new album Smoke + Mirrors and it was just incredible live. If you want a little snippet check out my insta in the sidebar!

I Cut My Hair For The Little Princess Trust

Sunday 8 November 2015

Hello lovelies!
So last Friday I made a big change to my life...well...my hair, I cut about 10 inches off for the Little Princess Trust!
The Little Princess Trust is an amazing charity that provide wigs for children with cancer who have lost their hair through treatment as well as children who have alopecia. They work with specialist suppliers and experienced hairdressers who offer wigs tailored to each individual child's needs to give them the most realistic look and feel to their original hair.

Bumbling Around Budapest

Sunday 18 October 2015

This is my photo diary for my recent trip to Budapest! I love visiting European cities as, so far, they all have had amazing architecture and such a rich culture. Sometimes I think I might take London for granted being so close. Budapest was covered in grand structures and monuments and statues, something that I don't notice in London anymore. It also had a lot of history around World War 2 which I found fascinating.

The Bristol Vintage Kilo Sale

Thursday 15 October 2015

I went to my first Vintage kilo sale! If you don't know what one of those is, it's where you go to an event space (like the Paintworks in Bristol) that is filled with racks and bins full of vintage clothing and you root through it and buy what you want per kilo rather than per item!

A Weekend in Cardiff

Wednesday 7 October 2015

This coming Sunday (11th) is my two year anniversary with my boyfriend and, as I am away then, I went and visited him at Uni last weekend.
Also with the Rugby World Cup on at the moment it meant that Cardiff and the train station were so busy! But I didn't mind as I was part of the crowd for the rugby with tickets for New Zealand vs Georgia!

Film Review | Me and Earl and the Dying Girl *****

Thursday 24 September 2015

This has to be the best film I've seen in some time.
It's poised on the ledge between a comedy and a tragedy and yet, is still amazing. You see this film is not a love story just a life story and that in itself is invigorating. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much at a film about a dying girl - but trust me there's reason to.

My Trip to Dismaland

Thursday 10 September 2015

Last night I ventured down the road from where I live to visit Banky's Dismaland. I have to say it was a weird experience. You enter into a fake security system where the staff are totally serious about no smiling, and stop random people before letting everyone through into the rest of the exhibition.

Music Monday #7

Monday 31 August 2015

Hello my lovelies!

Just a quick post today on my latest music favourites! Yes it's fairly mainstream this month but with the release of Taylor Swift's new music videos at the VMAs last night I had to include it! Even though I didn't watch the VMAs it seems several interesting events occurred, what with Nicki Minaj seeming to make up with Taylor by inviting her on stage to perform (which I loved) and then throwing 'shade' at Miley during her acceptance speech so it seems it's all still catfights over in the music industry.

1) Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift

I am absolutely in love with Taylor's new music video, her outfits in it are flawless! Scott Eastwood isn't too bad either.

2) Mike Dignam - Keep Up Lady

This one is a bit of an oldy. I first saw Mike when he supported Lawson on tour a few years back and I recently found the album again; this is my favourite song off of it!

3) We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off by Ella Eyre

So I discovered this on a video on Facebook of two people dancing to this song and I loved it so much I had to find it and now it's been on repeat for the last few weeks!

4) Come and Get it by John Newman

Another one on repeat!

5) Heartbeats by José González

This song came up on a TV show or a film (I can't remember what) but I shazamed it which I have discovered is so helpful! And now it has been added to my all important chill playlist on my phone!

What are your favourite songs this month?

Thursday 13 August 2015

Hello lovelies!

As promised, this is the first of my Paris blogs so I thought I'd do a little photo diary of my trip!

**warning heavy picture blog ahead!**

i turned eighteen!

Thursday 14 May 2015

I am finally an adult. omg.
My actual birthday was at the end of April but because there are so many consecutive birthdays at my school I actually went to another guy's Hawaiian themed party!
So this post is kinda a mini birthday haul...

April Favourites! | 2015

Sunday 10 May 2015

Hi there!

So this month has been VERY busy for me (hence the lack of posts, sorry!) I went skiing at the beginning of the month, my brother left to travel Asia, I've been hit with revision stress because exams start soon! AND I had my 18th birthday at the end of the month, so it's been fun!

Review | Rimmel London Wonder'full Mascara

Thursday 30 April 2015

The first thing that attracted me to this product was the packaging, I mean rose gold come on!
And the fact that a friend from work recommended it as my previous mascara used to print on my eyelids...

This product promises longer, clump free lashes so lets see!

Have a Lush Easter!

Sunday 5 April 2015

A couple of weeks ago I was shopping with my mum at Cribbs Causeway and I wondered into the Lush store just to have a little nosey at the new Easter selection. And I may have bought a few things on a bit of a whim!

Big thanks to Freyja for being so lovely and helping me choose!

Review | COLAB Dry Shampoo

Sunday 15 March 2015

Dry shampoo is an important product for me, especially before work as I start early on a Saturday morning and I don't have time to shower and everything before hand. Also, as I have quite light blonde hair as soon as it gets at all greasy I think it's really obvious so dry shampoo is the holy grail for me!

Music Monday #6

Monday 9 March 2015

Hi there!

So it's the time of year again when I have to start revising for exams and I definitely need good music to get me through it!

It's strange to think that this will be the last set of exams I'll ever have to take as I'm taking a gap year and then my course at Uni doesn't have any exams!

1) Sinner by Jeremy Loops

This man I found through Ben Brown on YouTube but I am so in awe with his music, it's so unique with all the harmonica!

February Favourites 2015!

Sunday 1 March 2015

Hi guys!

How is it that we're already in March?! I mean what is going on? This year is flying by!
As it's the new month I am going to do my February Favourites!

War Horse at The New London Theatre

Monday 23 February 2015

I can't believe it's been nearly a month since me and my mum took a trip to London for the day to see
War Horse!
This was the first production that I have seen in a while that was not labelled as a musical, and it didn't have any massive dance numbers but there was still singing, which helped to tell the story.

I am so amazed that after eight years of running on the West End almost every show is sold out!
